TO KNOW WHO I AM AND WHAT I AM HERE FOR

Tuesday, July 11th, 2017

I recently read a couple of novels by Michael Phillips which gave me an understanding of Scottish heritage, where they came from and what makes them a “different” people. So I began looking a myself, where did I come from and where am I going? My parents were of English descent and I was born in Canada. Even though ancestors, traditions, culture, family and life’s circumstances influence our character and personality, there is something even greater!

I have been “Born Again”, born of the Spirit as well as the flesh. I am now a “Spiritual Jew”. I feel like Abraham may have felt, looking for a city whose builder and maker is God. God is my Father and Jesus is my elder brother. I am a child of the “light”. The prince of darkness, like Pharaoh, will always do all he can to put out the light but he will be defeated. Light and truth will always prevail. We can expect opposition to who we are, but we are to be of good cheer for He has already overcome! Our greatest challenge is to “Know” who we are and what we are supposed to be doing.

As one of God’s people I am to bring blessing, hope for the hopeless, and healing for broken hearts and bodies. My Father’s will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven. We have a heavenly calling and glorious future.

Be Blessed today and Know that the best is yet to come!
